Ken Shattock posted the following on Chaski.org, 28 February 2017:

The initial stages of a new Live Steam club at Mineral, WA (neighbor to the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad) is slowly entering the planning stages. Tom Murray of Tacoma, WA donated his large 7 1/2 inch gauge trackage from his Estate along with ten beautiful locomotives. Looks like instant railroad and instant club.
The tentative name for the new club at Mineral, WA will be the Rainier Live Steamers (RLS).
During several weekend work-parties (depending on the weather), members of the Puget Sound Garden Railway Society (PSGRS) have rallied together at Tom's estate in Tacoma, WA and worked to remove over 6000-feet of 7 1/2-inch gauge track. The track will be inspected and new ties applied and then eventually re-layed at Mineral, WA. This is all a VERY labor-intensive project !
Please see the ATTACHED photo of a recent work-party at Tom's estate by PSGRS members. Look for Mike Massee to be one of the first to run on the new track and the first to get great photographs !
Cheers.
