Description from Camden Miniature Steam Services:

The late Alec Farmer was one of the co-founders of A.J. Reeves, the model engineering suppliers and, inter-alia, the firm’s boilermaker.
He was famed for the quality of his boilers, and he gave his talk Boilermaking without Tears, on which this book is based, to many Clubs. Simply put, it is the best book there is on building a copper boiler for a model steam locomotive, in this case to the 5” gauge ‘Torquay Manor’ design, although the information is universal.
Originally published by Patrick Stephens, then by the author, this reprint is a facsimile, as the original printing plates were lost.
