The Manitoba Live Steamers Association has adopted the Proposed BLS Wheel Standards as published in Live Steam in October 1974. The decision was made at the September 12th business meeting and it was noted that several locomotives are now under construction and being built to these standards.

At its December 14th meeting, the Northeastern Ohio Live Steamers voted to officially accept the BLS Wheel Standards but suggest that they show the 10 degree taper on the front and back side of the wheel flange in their final form. They note that the angle is included in the drawing but not specifically called out or dimensioned.

These two actions bring to fourteen the number of clubs adopting the Proposed BLS Wheel Standards.
