Alex Hitzfelder

Alex and Grace Hitzfelder were early live steam pioneers in Texas. They constructed a railroad, the Medina Valley Southern, in their cornfield in Devine, Texas. The Southwestern Live Steamers met regularly at this track, which were referred to as "cornfield meets".
