My Second scratch built car!
During my tenure as president of SWLS I became inspired to build this car. The original inspiration to build it came from running in the C&IG during one of Texas' famous droughts. There were several trackside fires started and all were in areas where a hose was not available. The other inspiration was to do a series of articles to run in the club newsletter on how to build it with no machine tools. The Tank is functional holding 23 Gals. The car also has a demand pressure pump and battery built in for fighting those trackside fires. Trucks and Couplers by Mountain Car Company.
