Dear friends:
Yes, on 3 July 2021 I had announced that this registry effort was “half-dead”. That’s roughly correct. There are nice people who have kindly helped, and it is very difficult to disappoint them and drop the matter entirely.
We’re up to 652 locos, which is 15 more than last time. I have updated or corrected another 30-or-so files. I see the Balmer 6-8-6 is still making progress. Terrific! We’ve also found a 2nd Beyer-Garratt right in front of our noses on the IBLS webpage. There was recent talk about an original Dan Culp ¾ inch 4-6-6-4. Does anyone know more about it? I’m aware that most files now state 651 total locos, though the number 652 is more correct.
Please do send any-and-all corrections and new entries. But please be patient: The next complete update may not be before the end of 2022.
