Tom Thumb Signals

Jeff Smith wrote on Chaski.org, 19 May 2024:

These detailed signals were designed by Emory Horvath of Florida and later Longmont, Colorado. They are 40 inches tall and the support post is 1-1/4 inch diameter. They are cast in aluminum and all parts have been drilled out to accept electrical wires. These signals are crossing gate signals and two of them have the beginnings of the mechanism which lowers and raises the gate. The other two do not. These are the last signal sets and castings that were produced. All of the patterns and match plates were accidentally destroyed. They are truly beautiful.
